Windfield is growing quickly and we are looking for someone to oversee our scale at our Lawrence, MA facility. Our ideal candidate is a reliable, dependable team member who is comfortable working in a team environment and in a customer-facing role. 

Windfield is a single source recycler who accepts scrap metal downstream and on site. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing the scale and working closely with the Retail Attendant and Truck Drivers by directing, weighing, and assessing scrap metal being delivered. 

Requirements: 

• Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm; Saturdays 7:30am-12pm

• Work outside year-round

• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities: 

• Manage the scale at our facility in Lawrence, MA. 

• Inspect and identify metals. 

• Communicate with Windfield team members and customers throughout the shift.

• Always put safety first and will always wear appropriate PPE. 

• Should prefer working in a team environment but be comfortable working on independent tasks. 

Day-to-day expectations: 

• Pre-inspect and clean scale to ensure that it’s presentable to customers and ensure that it’s a safe environment 

• Housekeeping of one’s respective operational area.

• Communicate regularly with Facility Supervisor and team members to ensure effective and efficient deliveries 

• Adhere to and understand safety policies and regulations 

• Perform other related duties as assigned 

What will give me an edge over other applicants?

• Strong communication skills and ability to provide great customer service

• Previous experience working retail, customer service, or scrapyard 

• Mechanic experience is a plus, but not required

• Bilingual in Spanish and English are a plus, but not required
